Just some quick peeks, cause most of the knitting is for presents, and we wouldn’t want to give too much away.

Kris’s shrug is blocking. It looks really goofy in this pic, but she tried it on on Saturday when it was almost finished, and it fit fine, so I’m refusing to worry about it.

It’s Shimmer, from knitty a few years ago. (Having peeked at the issue date, it’s from a lot of years ago. I keep forgetting that knitty has been around that long.) The yarn is Filatura di la Crosa Zara, a superwash merino that I love lots. It’s soft and sproingy and very forgiving. (Which is good. There would be far more wonky spots in this if it weren’t for the forgivingness of the yarn.)

Another soon-to-be present. Like those zig-zags? It’s a 100% silk singles, Jade Sapphire Maju Silk, in Wasabi.

And another. I looooove and adore the colors of this yarn, and have great plans for whatever’s left of the ball.

And that project that I said would involve some complicated finishing? It’s finished, although it involved things like this

and this.

And finally, and perhaps most exciting, not only is this the view out my window this morning,

winter!

but it’s looked like that for the last week. It’s been a long time since we had snow that stuck around like this in early December. I don’t care what the calendar says - winter is quite clearly here.

P.S. I found that missing sleeve, too. It was indeed in Dan’s car. We took the tires out (Note to Mom: Dan’s summer tires are back in your shed.) and there it was!
