The difference between psychology and computer science as programs of study
A conversation between myself and Dan the other day:
Dan: I’ll be right over, I just have to check my mailbox.
Me: Silly CS and your silly mailboxes.
Dan: You don’t have a department mailbox?
Me: There’s six hundred of us! No.
Dan: How do your professors hand back your homework?
Me: Our what?

I didn’t get a departmental mailbox until I started grad school. I don’t think any undergrads have departmental mailboxes at UMass, though who knows - maybe those farm school folks have them.

Hm, I know math undergrads and most engineering majors get mailboxes. I’d always figured it was a CEPS thing, as I don’t think it’s true, in general, in the liberal arts, even in the smaller departments.
